Data controller
Álvaro Martín Sánchez, whose address is Plaza Cuento 23, Gomecello, 37420 Salamanca, Spain, is the controller for the Amasynth processing activities described here. For privacy enquiries and to exercise your rights, contact: alvaro@amasynth.com. Full identification details are provided in the legal notice.
What data is used and why
- Newsletter: email address, subscription status and dates of sign-up, confirmation and unsubscription, and records relating to message delivery and interaction provided by Beehiiv. These are used to manage subscriptions, send Amasynth news and understand how the mailings perform. The legal basis is your consent when subscribing. You can withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
- Email enquiries: your email address, message content and any information you provide, to respond to and follow up on your request. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in handling communications received or, where applicable, taking pre-contractual steps at your request.
- Operation and security: the hosting provider processes technical data, such as IP address, date, requested resource, browser and request outcome, to serve the website, detect issues and produce technical statistics. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in maintaining a secure and operational service.
The website does not include advertising tools or cross-site browsing tracking. The apps process audio and the files you choose locally in your browser; Amasynth does not receive them. No automated decisions with legal effects on you are made.
Visit analytics, only with your consent
If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure page views, available traffic source information, approximate country, device, engagement time and actions such as starting audio or opening links to the newsletter, YouTube and Patreon. Google receives browser identifiers and technical and interaction data; this data is not anonymous. The connection involves technical processing of your IP address, although Google states that GA4 does not log or store it.
The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR). Before you accept, or if you reject, we do not load Analytics or send measurement requests to Google. We do not enable advertising features or Google Signals. We do not send audio, file names, email addresses or values entered in the apps. You can withdraw your consent through “Cookie preferences”; this does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing.
Voluntary subscription
Providing your email address is necessary to receive the newsletter, but not to browse the website. Subscribing requires confirmation through the email you receive. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You can also request to unsubscribe by email. Do not send sensitive data in your enquiries.
Providers and international transfers
Hostinger provides hosting, Beehiiv manages the newsletter and Google Ireland Limited provides Google Analytics when you accept analytics. These services may process data to perform their functions and, in the circumstances described in their policies, for their own purposes. Data may also be disclosed to authorities where required by law.
Beehiiv is a US provider and its service may involve international transfers. Its data processing agreement provides contractual safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where applicable. You can request information about these safeguards using the contact email address. See also the Beehiiv privacy policy and the Hostinger privacy policy.
Google Analytics and transfers
Google Ireland Limited and its subprocessors may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. The applicable safeguards are described in the Data Processing Terms and the Google information on international transfers, which covers adequacy frameworks and standard contractual clauses according to the destination and circumstances. You can request information about these safeguards from the controller. See also how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
Retention
In Google Analytics, user and event data is retained for 2 months, without resetting that period on new visits. This setting does not affect aggregated statistical reports, which may be retained for longer.
Subscription data is retained while you remain subscribed. After you unsubscribe, only the information needed to honour that choice, demonstrate consent and address legal liabilities will be retained for the applicable periods. Enquiries are retained while they are being handled and, where necessary, for the relevant liability periods. Technical logs have limited retention according to the provider's configuration and security needs.
Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and portability, where applicable, by writing to alvaro@amasynth.com. You can also withdraw your consent. Additional identification information will only be requested if needed to verify your request. You can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
External services and changes
This policy describes Amasynth's processing activities. When visiting external services, also consult their policies. If new measurement tools are introduced or the purposes change, this information will be updated and consent will be obtained where required.
